Pakistan High Commission Official Summoned.
The demise of a civilian due to the ceasefire violation by the Pakistani forces in Jammu &Kashmir pushed India to issue summons to the Pakistan High Commission official on Wednesday. India made a robust expostulation over the death of an “innocent civilian in unprovoked ceasefire violations” which happened on January 11 in Sunderbani area of Jammu & Kashmir. The protest as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs was in regards to the assistance and encouragement given by Pakistan forces in the process of infiltration of terrorists to India and lending the required cover fire.
The MEA further stated their concern with respect to the endless unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations athwart the Line of Control and the International Boundary.
The statistics prove that the year 2018 had seen the maximum number of ceasefire violations i.e 2936 in the last 15 years along the Indo-Pak border.
