Terrorist Attack In Srinagar, Police Constable Injured.
A police constable named Feroz Ahmed got injured in firing by terrorists at the Chanapora police post in Srinagar, said the Jammu and Kashmir police. The incident happened on 26th April near Chanapora post in Srinagar. Kashmiri Terror outfit Al-umar Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for the strike.
"There was a stand off firing on Police Post Chanapora falling under the jurisdiction of Police station Saddar. One policeman sustained injuries," a police spokesman said.
According to police around 7.45 in the evening some terrorists on bike, open fired 4-5 rounds of bullets at cops on duty. The constable got critically injured in the exchange. He was rushed to the nearest military hospital and is undergoing treatment.
The police retaliated but terrorist managed to escape. Soon after a search operation was launched, while the area around the post was cordoned off. According to local news agency Al-umar Mujahideen chief Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar claimed that his cadres had safely returned to their destinations after carrying out the attack.
