Recruitment Of Youths Rising High In Terrorists Activities
Terrorist activities now have reached its peak in reached years. In 2019, near about 100 terrorists were killed in first five months in Kashmir including 23 foreigners. But as per reports by officials new recruitments is real threat to our security establishment.
New recruitment compels security establishment to take full care. As per information, 50 new youngsters have joined various terror outfits from March; hence to cut off the supply chain is very essential for security establishment.
Total 101 terrorists were killed; of them 23 were foreigners & 78 were local terrorists which include top commanders such as Zakir Musa, chief of so called Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, a group affiliated with Al-Qaeda. But after death of Musa huge number of terrorist from Hizbul Mujahideen had joined Ansar Ghazwal-ul-Hind.
It is belief of officials engaged in fighting terrorism or formulating strategy that it is necessary to re-consider all anti-terrorism policy and for awaring youths and parents to educate them about evils of radicalization.
In the attempt to kill terrorists, 25 were killed in Pulwama ranking second, 14 & 12 were killed in Awantipora & Kulgam respectively. All these highly-volatile areas in South Kashmir continue to contribute more youths to various terrorist groups.
Some of terrorists have successfully sneaked in from Poonch & Rajouri districts of Jammu region and also from LoC in Kashmir valley. This has resulted into more alertness for security forces to ready themselves for the two months-long Amarnath Yatra.
There is continues increase in recruiting of youth in such activities since 2014 as compared to earlier years. In 2014, the number raised to 53 while in 2015 it reached 66 by 2016 it reached maximum to 88 as per report.
Pulwama attack in February has made very hazardous effect and officials are of view that encounters between terrorists and security forces have turned into spectacles with protests and stone pelting by local at sites, followed by large gatherings at funerals. The entire phenomenon has the potential to create an emotionally charged environment ideal for recruiting fresh cadres.
